The Omaha Philatelic Society will be offering special philatelic covers at our September Stamp Show commemorating the 100th Anniversary of the club’s founding. The three cachets shown below will be featured on the covers.
Guests may purchase the limited-edition commemorative covers for $2 each or $5 for a set of three at the Stamp Show welcome table.
1. Joyella Brick’s award-winning “Swartz Printing Stamp” logo design for the Omaha Philatelic Society’s Centennial celebration.
A group of stamp collectors who met at the Swartz & McKelvie Printing Company building to talk about and exhibit their stamps to each other formed the Omaha Philatelic Society there on April 23, 1926.

The one-dollar stamp from the 1898 Trans-Mississippi Exposition issue is shown at center. The Trans-Mississippi Exposition commemoratives were issued in Omaha on June 17, 1898.
The postmark at right center features the dates of the stamp show.
